Boss Dog K9 Training Facility

Boss Dog K9 Training Facility, located in Los Banos, offers a comprehensive range of services including private training, Puppy Board and Train, and boarding. Catering to dog owners seeking expert training and care, Boss Dog K9 stands out for its personalized approach and proven results in canine training.

Brandon Valdez, the owner of Boss Dog K9, discovered his passion and talent for dog training while working for another business in the same field. Over time, he earned a reputation for his effective training methods and the positive outcomes he achieved with dogs. This success, coupled with his love for the work, inspired him to establish his own training facility.

Despite his expertise in dog training, Brandon faced significant challenges when it came to starting a business. The facility he chose required substantial improvements to meet his vision. Additionally, Brandon realized he needed guidance on the business aspects, such as legal requirements, insurance, and permits.

The Central CA SBDC provided Brandon with extensive support, including 36 hours of consulting focused on business fundamentals. They assisted him in determining the appropriate legal entity, understanding insurance requirements, and obtaining necessary licenses and permits. Furthermore, the SBDC collaborated with Brandon and his web designer to create a comprehensive marketing strategy for Boss Dog K9.

In January 2024, Brandon successfully opened Boss Dog K9 Training Facility, creating one full-time job. The support and guidance from SBDC were crucial in turning his vision into reality.

Brandon highlighted the 1:1 coaching sessions as the most beneficial aspect of the SBDC's assistance. The personalized guidance provided him with the confidence and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of starting a business.
