A new program to provide technical assistance and capital for entrepreneurs, startup businesses, and small businesses that are income qualified or located within qualifying census tracts of the City of Bakersfield is the topic on this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield. 
 

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will be joined by Economic Development Principal Planner, Cecelia Griego with the City of Bakersfield Community and Economic Development Department. Griego will discuss details and provide an overview of the upcoming new program.

Joining the discussion will be Dr. Mark Novak, CSUB Dean of the Division Extended Education and Global Outreach, and Jennifer Patino, Director of Professional and Continuing Education Programs at CSUB. They will discuss training programs, including a detailed class for new and growing food and beverage entrepreneurs designed to improve profitability at establishments in the local restaurant community.  

Bearden will begin the webinar with an update on weather-related disaster assistance for businesses from local, state, and federal governments, the economy, and capital resources programs.

Questions from attendees will be taken.
