    Boots to Business - ReBOOT

Presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration

National Veterans Small Business Week 2021

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) celebrates, connects, and empowers service member (including National Guard and Reserve), veteran, and military spouse entrepreneurs and business owners – past, present, and future – during National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW).

NVSBW 2021 will take place in November 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, events will take place virtually or in-person, depending on state and local guidelines, but the goal of NVSBW remains the same – to raise awareness of veteran small business ownership and encourage communities to support their veteran- and military-owned businesses. This year, we will focus on celebrating the strength and resilience of the veteran and military small business community as they continue to adapt, pivot, and overcome the economic hardships from the last 18 months. The SBA and its partners will work to connect these small business owners to resources that will help them not only start or grow a business but also continue to navigate this uncertain time.

OWNING A VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS
Veterans have the character, discipline and skills needed to succeed as small business owners and entrepreneurs. Wondering what it takes and how you can prepare?

ABOUT BOOTS TO BUSINESS REBOOT
Boots to Business Reboot is a two-step training program that provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector
resources.

  • Step one is the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course eligible to Veterans of all eras, service members (including members of the National Guard and Reserve) and their spouses. This course is instructed by SBA and its partners, who are skilled business advisors.
  • Step two is one of the online follow-on courses instructed by a consortium of professors and skilled business advisors from the SBA Network.
