An outlook at the future of oil production in Kern County and its potential impact on small businesses is among topics of this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will be joined by Richard Chapman, president and CEO of the Kern Economic Development Corporation. Chapman will provide an outlook for the future of oil production in Kern County, the governor’s proposed ban on hydraulic fracturing in California, and the potential impact in the community and on small businesses.

Additional webinar topics will include updates on the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund legal challenges, Paycheck Protection Program forgiveness process, Economic Injury Disaster Loan program including the reconsideration process for denied applications, and more.

Questions from attendees will be taken.

This marks the 69th in the weekly “Webinar Wednesday” series that provides reopening and current pandemic relief updates on available federal, state, and local funding options, tax credit programs, employee programs, and other opportunities helpful to employers and business owners.
