Helping Your Business Start, Grow and Succeed

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden begins the webinar with updates on Kern County’s $1.2 million Microbusiness Relief Grant Program and other government business pandemic relief programs. Bearden is then joined by Israel Lara Jr., outreach specialist with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Fresno District. Lara works as an Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program [EIDL] troubleshooter. He discusses the process of how to request additional funding, and how a borrower can request reconsideration when their application is initially denied. There is also discussion about unique issues surrounding current borrowers who want to sell their business and have the loan assumed, and those who want to move their business. This marks the 103rd in the weekly “Webinar Wednesday” series that provides reopening and current pandemic relief updates on available federal, state, and local funding options, tax credit programs, employee programs, and other opportunities helpful to employers and business owners. The SBDC provides free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners. New and existing businesses can sign up for assistance by clicking here!
