Helping Your Business Start, Grow and Succeed

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden kicks off the one-hour FREE webinar with updates on Kern County’s $1.2 million Microbusiness Relief Grant Program, and additional money for restaurants not funded by the Restaurant Revitalization Fund in 2021. Bearden is joined by small business development consultant Jay Thompson to discuss challenges and opportunities during the 2021 tax filing season. Thompson also talks about issues and trends among business owners changing entities into LLCs and corporations. Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce CEO Tim Smith is also on hand with a preview of this week’s Indian Wells Valley Economic Outlook Conference, one of the largest business events in Eastern Kern County. This marks the 102nd in the weekly “Webinar Wednesday” series that provides reopening and current pandemic relief updates on available federal, state, and local funding options, tax credit programs, employee programs, and other opportunities helpful to employers and business owners. The SBDC provides free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners. New and existing businesses can sign up for assistance by clicking here!
