*WEBINAR WEDNESDAY: CSUB economist to offer outlook for small businesses

An economic outlook with local, regional, and national data important to small businesses is among the topics of this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.  
 
Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will be joined by Dr. Nyakundi Michieka, associate professor of economics and director for the Center for Economic Education and Research at CSUB. They will discuss the economics of Kern County and aspects of the local economy that affect the small business including the labor market, inflation, and energy sectors. 
 
Dr. Michieka’s primary research is in the areas of energy, environmental economics and regional economics. 
 
Kelly Bearden will begin the webinar with a look at available capital resources and grants, and small business recovery opportunities. 
 
Questions from attendees will be taken.
